In Co-operation with the ESPA member 'Dansk Kur, Spa & Wellness' two meetings in the German Seaside Resort 'Friedrichskoog' at the North Sea were organised from the from the 19th till the 20th of June and the 29th till the 31st of July 2011.

The conclusion of the first meeting was that the medical therapeutic basis in the spas are as well indispensable as offers, which are focused on safety and service and consumer orientated aspects. In the second meeting ESPA experts from Denmark, the Netherlands and Germany together with the chairman of the ESPA Thalasso Section Dr. Behi Bouakez from Tunisia discussed the essential features of a common European project “Thalasso of the North”, which should give the participating spas a tool for successfully offers in the field of the thalassotherapy. The project should be implemented by 2012.
