On 8 February of 2010, the Peloid Section was established in the German town of Bad Schwalbach, with the participation of 8 member countries.
Given the excellent response following the first European peloid conference in Bad Sorrow successfully staged by ESPA and the local BBKV Brandenburg Spas Association in March 2009 founding a separate Peloid Division was the next logical step.

First of all the Peloid Section plans to list all the European health resorts using peloids for therapy, specifying the exact types used. Once the relevant scientific and technical information has been compiled, the measures required for focused marketing will be carried out on the basis of a joint platform. At the inaugural session, the following were elected as committee members:

The temporary secretary is Deddo Lehmann, the director of Bad Schmiedeberg (Germany).
